ROLLING IN THE STOVE AT THE STAGE
MIAMI,Florida November 30th 2012 The Cuban Art Project – Eating House’s Giorgio Rapicavoli will delve into stashes of Tierra Nueva Fine Cocoa’s “Cruz Chocolates” and “Coffee Thins” to prepare original, chocolate-inspired dishes in a live cooking demonstration during The Stage’s Closing Basel event on December 9th.
At 7 p.m., Rapicavoli, executive chef and owner at Eating House who earlier this year became Miami’s first winner on Food Network’s “Chopped,” will take the stage with chef and partner Henry Hane (former executive sous chef at Sra. Martinez) to prepare their notoriously “fire” dishes using Tierra Nueva chocolate, which guests can sample while sipping chocolate-infused Caipirinha cocktails by Remy V.
“We’re really stoked to be working with Tierra Nueva at Eating House,” said Rapicavoli. “Between being locally made and its insane flavor, it makes for one of the best chocolates we’ve worked with in a while. The demo at The Stage is going to be a great lesson on how to use chocolate in new ways many haven’t thought of before.”

After the cooking demonstration, the Brazilian Film Festival will screen several films for guests to enjoy, including the Oscar Nominated film, Wasteland and Cannes Winner, O Gigante do Papelão. During the films, guests can help themselves to complimentary coffee drinks brewed on site by a barista; Tierra Nueva will sweeten the deal and also provide Coffee Thins for viewers.
The Stage, located in the famed Miami Design District at 170 NE 38th Street, is a premier venue for live music, art and film. The high ceilings, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, and art lined walls by some of South Florida’s best talent combine for a great space.
